Bali Island is primarily Hindu & Muslim religions. There are many ceremonies carried out throughout the year & these can sometimes impact activities around Bali.
Nyepi (Day of Silence) – 07th March 2019
Nyepi is one of Bali’s largest ceremonial periods. During this time there is 5 days of preparation & ceremonies leading up to Nyepi Day. On this day the entire island observes a day of silence & reflection. Power is limited & people are not permitted on the streets. The airports are closed, therefore travel on the surrounding dates is often very expensive & should be booked well in advance.
Villa Venus respects the local customs & traditions of our local area, please speak to our Villa Manager regarding the limitations of Nyepi before booking your stay.
The island of Bali has seasonal high & low seasons which generally relate to the wet & dry seasons in Indonesia. During high season we charge a premium rate for villa bookings & encourage you to book in advance to avoid disappointment as we are often fully booked during these times. Our high & low season dates are listed with the villa rates.
